Smoothie Recipes

I am a huge smoothie lover. I would have a smoothie for every single meal if I could. Places like Freshii, Whole Foods, & Mariano's have made it easy to just stop in & get a fresh juice or smoothie, but that can cost you a pretty penny. Below are some of my favorite recipes to make at home!

It's fun to throw fruits in a blender & see what comes out. If you're into experimenting, just remember to choose a base (coconut water, almond milk, coconut milk, real apple juice, real orange juice); add your fruits & veggies, even the ones you don't like - mixed together the tastes may be more palpable; add pineapple, if you can - this seems to make each smoothie taste better; & if you're feeling really experimental, add a little extra boost with chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, wheatgrass, almond butter, turmeric, ginger, etc.

Green Smoothie
1 cup almond milk
1 cup kale
1 cup spinach
1 banana
1/2 apple
3-5 pineapple chunks
2 tbsp chia seeds
ginger

Banana Berry Smoothie
1 cup coconut water
1 banana
1/2 cup strawberries
1/4 cup raspberries
1/4 cup blueberries

Tropical Smoothie
1 cup coconut water
1/2 cup spinach
1 banana
1 mango
1 kiwi
7-10 pineapple chunks

Beet Smoothie
1 cup almond milk
1 beet
1 banana
1 apple
1 carrot
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup spinach

Apple Ginger Smoothie
1 cup real apple juice
1 apple
1/4 cup grapes
1/4 cup strawberries
3-5 pineapple chunks
1/2 lemon
ginger
